Water and Sanitation (WASH)
From geophysical survey to the tap: we drill boreholes and build water intakes, water treatment plants (WTP), rising mains, reservoirs and distribution networks, solar or grid-powered, plus sanitation at health centres — across northern and central Mozambique.

Our solutions
From borehole to tap — integrated solutions
Geophysical Survey and Hydrogeology
Vertical electrical sounding (VES) surveys with our own resistivity meters, an interpretation report for each site and pumping tests — so that each borehole is drilled in the right place.

Borehole Drilling
Boreholes for hand pumps, water supply systems and other uses. We operate 4 drilling machines, 3 of them truck-mounted rotary-percussion rigs (Super Rock Drills, Kaishan KW20 and Fucheng), allowing 3 simultaneous work fronts. We drill to 200 m depth (160 to 200 m in Sofala), with Atlas Copco and Sullair high-pressure compressors, Grundfos test pumps and water-level and multi-parameter probes.
Down to 200 m · 3 simultaneous work fronts
Water Intake and Treatment (WTP)
Surface water intakes on rivers, including floating platforms, water treatment plants with horizontal-flow hydraulic settling tanks — with detailed design by SC Nasser —, rising mains and reinforced-concrete reservoirs. In Búzi, for FIPAAS with World Bank funding, we are building the new river intake, 100 m³/h treatment and the DN 200 rising main.

Water Supply Systems
Construction of reinforced concrete and galvanized metallic towers, integrated into complete water supply systems for rural villages, communities and health centers. Includes distribution networks and the construction of management houses and technical support buildings for the systems.
Water towers for communities and health facilities
Solar-Powered Water Systems
Water supply systems powered by solar PV, for communities and health facilities beyond the reach of the grid. We have around 240 kW of solar PV installed in water systems — the largest example being the 80 kW plant at the Marrupa system.

Grid-Connected Systems
Grid-connected water supply systems with submersible pumps, storage, management buildings and distribution networks, including transformer stations and medium- and low-voltage lines. At Majune we built the 33 kV medium-voltage connection and a 100 kVA transformer station.

Sanitation and Sanitary Facilities in Health Units
Works at 112 health centres in 28 districts across four provinces, upgrading water and sanitation infrastructure — building and rehabilitating maternity-ward toilets, staff and patient sanitation facilities, and solid-waste treatment systems.
